This is a massive target to reach, and we cannot do it without YOUR help.
We are requesting help from grant giving trusts, and we are holding fund raising events throughout the year. So far we have held:

We are giving local people and local businesses the opportunity to make a real difference to the young people in Consett by donating a square metre or square foot of the new building.
The building is 244 m2 or 2660 feet2. We are, therefore, asking local businesses or individuals to donate £800 for a square metre, or £75 for a square foot.
Everyone who donates will receive a certificate to display, and will be listed on this website. In addition, anyone who donates a square metre will be listed on a plaque which will be displayed inside the new building.
Perhaps most importantly, you will know that you have helped secure the future of Scouting in Consett, and given future generations of young people the opportunity to experience the Adventure of Scouting.

Donations of materials and / or time
We would welcome any offers of materials, expertise or time which will help reduce the total cost of the build. We would be delighted to hear from anyone in the building trade who can spare time or materials for the project, and from from anyone who could help with other tasks, such as landscaping and painting once the building is constructed.
