1st Consett operates a 14 seat 2013 3.5 tonne Ford Transit minibus and we also have an Ifor William box trailer.
All rear passenger seats have three point height adjustable seat belts.
We are pleased to offer our minibus and trailer for use by other Scout and Guide groups for a suggested contribution.
We operate on a not-for-profit basis and the costs are shared among the users. This contribution helps cover maintenance, insurance, and other operational expenses.

The minibus must be refuelled to the same level as when collected if using the 24 hour option.
We appreciate your understanding and support in maintaining this valuable resource for the benefit of all Scout and Guide groups.
The minibus does not require a D1 licence . Drivers must be over 21 years old and under 70 years old, with a full clean licence. All groups must have their own Section 19 minibus permit to use the vehicle. The minibus cannot be driven away without a valid permit displayed..
The minibus does have a towbar. Electrics are 13 pin Euro socket, so you may need an adapter. Drivers must make sure they have the correct licence before towing a trailer.
Trailer Driver Eligibility
Drivers must have Category D1+E on their licence and meet the other minibus driving requirements. Groups using the trailer alone must insure it for both damage and theft (usually using on their own vehicle insurance policy)
** External groups can only book the minibus 3 months in advance. **
Please read our Minibus Terms and Conditions for further details and requirements before booking.
